In 1992, Mr. Koehler received his bachelor’s degree from George Mason University. Immediately afterward, Mr. Koehler continued his education at Marshall University, where he received a masters degree in 1994. While attending Marshall University, Mr. Koehler was a Graduate Teaching Assistant, and taught undergraduate students public speaking. Mr. Koehler also published a research paper at an educational conference.

Mr. Koehler returned to school in 1997 to pursue his law degree at George Mason University School of Law. After graduating in 2001, Mr. Koehler worked as an associate with Martin and Seibert in West Virginia focusing on creditor rights and civil litigation. In 2004, Mr. Koehler began working for the Daniel Group in Winchester, Virginia, where he was able to expand his practice areas to Criminal Defense and Family Law while maintaining an active Civil Litigation practice.

In 2006 Mr. Koehler opened his solo practice in Leesburg, Virginia, where he still focuses his practice on Criminal Defense, Family Law and Civil Litigation.
